Recording in Rennes

And we’re back from Rennes in Brittany where we’ve recorded some videos and recordings for an EP of Trenet songs. It went great! Here’s a sneek peek…

Well actually that one was Marinella, but we’ve done some scintillating new versions of Trenet songs. The lovely people at the Studio du Faune were particularly taken by our live translations into English of these great Trenet stories.

He’s has everything! But he’s not happy

Boum! are embarking on a new project to make a film of our new song version of Charles Trenet’s ‘Tout est au Duc’. We are looking to incorporate a dance of the valets which we are hoping will go viral on TikTok and are also looking for a suitable beauty to play the role of Comtesse. If you feel you have the requisite desirability to play such a role please throw your bonnet in the ring. Watch this space for more developments.

BOUM are BACK! After 10 years navigating the choppy waters of family blossomings, continental shifts, Brexit and Lockdown, Boum decided life is too short and reformed in 2025. It’s amazing how much has changed since we formed back in 1994. The Eurostar terminal at Waterloo – so shiny and new, when it inspired our fantastic song and video you can see here.
